Blackout Comms T-Deck Plus – Ready-to-Use Off-Grid Mesh Texting & Tracking Device

Ready-to-use handheld for private, encrypted texting and location sharing over LoRa. No cell service, no internet, no phone apps required. Arrives fully flashed with Blackout Comms firmware, tested, and licensed so you can start or join a private cluster right away.

This is the LilyGO T-Deck Plus in a custom PETG case (color options available). It has a touchscreen, trackball, and dedicated QWERTY keyboard so it works like a simple texting device. Integrated GPS handles location sharing. Messages and positions stay on the device and the mesh—nothing depends on a central service.

A single device by itself has no one to message. Blackout Comms works as a private cluster, so you need at least two devices (any combination of supported hardware) to communicate. If you don’t already have other Blackout Comms devices, start with two or more so you have a working pair from day one.

How It Works

Devices talk directly when they are in radio range (near-instant delivery and confirmation). Out of direct range, the mesh routes the message and can hold it for up to 24 hours so it still arrives even if some devices are powered off or temporarily out of reach. Everything is encrypted and digitally signed. Frequency hopping is handled automatically. The cluster stays private to the devices you onboard.

Practical Notes

• Best used as part of a small private cluster with at least one other Blackout Comms device. Range between two T-Deck Plus units alone is limited; performance improves with better line-of-sight, elevated antennas, or other mesh nodes nearby.
• Works anywhere LoRa is legal in your region. Follow local radio rules.

No monthly fees for the core mesh. The device works fully offline. Optional cloud bridge features are available if you later want them, but they are not required.
